I paid 17,600 for my 29D without ss, but with the fel and 5ft. brushhog. Price doesnt seem that bad. I think the tractor new would be about 13k with SS, another $4500 for the fel and $850 for the hog. Whats the 50/50 warrenty? And how could the hood be dented its made of plastic, cracked I could see but dented? I know on my experiences for purchasing a tractor(about 4 months, with 1 annoyed wife) I found the price differences between used and new where to close. The financing was also terrible on used compared to new(12% to 5%) and also warrenty 2yrs. new to nothing for used. I opted for new and have no regrets, could luck in your search.

I searched for months before I bought my tractor. For me it turned out that the local dealer gave the best price and I know he will be here if I have a problem. By the way I have 115hrs. on my tc29d and not one problem(love my machine). Good luck.

I think you should all stop bickering like a bunch of old ladies! All tractors have their good points and bad, what it really comes down to is what you the buyer feels most comfortable with. I bought NH, I felt you got more bang for the buck. Try them both Mountaineer if you think its worth paying more for the color(green) thats your choice. Like I said they both are fine machines so good luck in your tractor hunting. Oh ya forgot to mention almost have 100 hrs. on my machine and not one problem.

Price is ok SOB. I just paid 17,600 for the same machine without super steer but with a 5 ft. bush hog. Bushhog works great only adjust your speed if you are mowing high grass. If I was in your shoes I would go look at new before I made a decision. I looked for 5 months before I ended up buying new, I felt hte used prices wher to close to new. Hope this helps good luck.

I hear you on that the case dealer by me wanted more money for their Gear drive 29 hp then I paid for my TC29D to the tune of $1,400. I wasnt going to pay more for a base model tractor when I could buy the deluxe model for less.If you really want to pay more for a red paint job you are a better man then me another option is to buy the Boomer and paint it red I am sure it wont cost a GRAND!

I own 20 acres and purchased a TC29D seems to work great so far. With a 5ft brushhog and 68"fel for 17,600 with no supersteer. I found for the 800 extra Igot 4 more hp. this made it a little easier on the hog.You may want to look close at the ss option do you really need it? Save 1500 if you dont.The 25D will do you it just depends on how much time you want to spend on your tractor.

They are all designed the same way, i have had by tc29d for two months and have had no problems. I believe the under carraige hookup is a problem if you are using implements like a belly mower. The JD is the same as the NH and I havent heard of any major problems, the Kubota I think you have to get off the tractor and set up loader legs if you want to remove it while the deere and NH use the loader fram as a stand.

They are both fine tractors, Ipurchased my TC29D after 4 months of research. You are right the Tc is 3 more horsepower then the deere and I thought it was the easiest to service out of all the tractors I looked at wich is all of them. I also found the new holland to be a bit cheaper then the deere but wit hpretty much all the same features. Your best bet is to drive both and you should know which one you fell more comfortable in. The price is right in line with what I paid, my total was 17,600 with, f.e.l. with 68 h.d. bucket and 5ft. bushhog. hope this helps.P.S. I have had my TC for two months now and love it put 50hrs. on it and it has preformed flawlessly.

Mike is correct(fwd), I went thru the same thing about 1 month ago. From Jan. till april I searched for a tractor. I went with the tc29d after all my months of searching.My decision based on price, service, and servicability. I found N.H. price to be the best with the most features, service the dealer seamed great and they where the closest out of the big three. And last but not least the tractor servicability appeared to be superior over the other brands. I drove all three and N.H. I felt most comfortable with, you owe it to yourself to drive all brands you are interested in and buy what you feel most comfortable with. Hope this helps and good luck.

I paid 17,600 for the TC29D with 68 hd bucket and 5ft Bush hog sq600 model. The price seems pretty comparable maybe alittle higher but it depends on where you live. I have seen a large price deviation on this board. As far as the tractor goes I have had it a month and couldnt be happier. The only drawback that I have seen is without rear ballest your bucket load is limited. Good luck.

When i purchased my 29d 3 weeks ago my ins. company covered it under my homeowners with no stipulation about rollover. It's not a car so I dont know where they are getting 300 a year for coverage, I use state farm ins., hope this helps.

I viewed the Mahindra at our local farm show in the winter but in the end I purchased a New Holland TC29D. From the little bit I got from the sales rep. (from Ohio)I live in NY, they where just about as expensive as the major brands. I would be very concerned on parts and service if you are looking at one of these tractors unless there is local support near you hope this is of some help.

I paid a total of 17,650 for the TC29D with Loader and 5 ft bushhog. The price you where quoted sounds good, Ilooked at the 25D and opted for the extra horsepower over the supersteer. I have had my tractor for 2 weeks now and love it! I was glad I got the extra horsepower for the bushhog, in your case you may not need it. I have put almost 20 hrs. on my machine and am totally satisfied with my purchase, the boomer is a fine product.

There have been alot of good points made on this particular post.I am glad my dealer was competitive in his price and extremly helpful. I just recieved my TC29D yesterday and after the dealer spent another 2 hrs. going over the machine I was off in playland. After putting 6.5 hrs. on the machine it started to rain (its a good thing would have probably stayed out all night). I would be on it right now if I didn't have to come into work for a few hrs., but to anyone in the western NY area looking for a New Holland tractor check out Main & Pickney in Auburn, NY. Ask for Greg or Bill(The owner) and they will take great care of you! Good luck to all on your tractor searches, Time to go play!
